B.B. Pradhan Management College [bmc] is the only Professional Institution in the hill district of Darjeeling, which is the tertiary division of Rockvale Academy. bmc was started in 2003 in memory of B.B.Pradhan. He was the founder of Rockvale Academy. The college was established by Captain P.M Pradhan in the name of his father B.B.Pradhan. Initially when the college was opened with only the degree course BBA [Bachelor of Business Administration]. At first only 4 student were admitted and later there were 20 student. They were the first batch of student to graduate from bmc After one year of establishment 2 more course were added. They were BCA [Bachelor of Computer Application] and BSc.IT [Bachelor of Science in Information Technology]. later in the year 2004. The strength of student in 2004 were 150. Most of the student are from Bhutan and few of them from Bangladesh. In the year 2005 one course was dropped that is BSc.IT. In 2005 there were only two courses namely BBA and BCA. Again from 2007 there will be three more courses introduced. They include 3 year degree course in BSc.IT and one year in DIT [Diploma in Information Technology] and PGDIT [Post Graduate in Information Technology]
